Photograph of the Rubens Room, Windsor Castle, now known as the King's Drawing Room. The walls are hung with a new damask fabric (compare with a 1902 photo, 2936821). There is a large gilt bronze chandelier (RCIN 71784), now at Stormont Castle; various chairs and sofas in different covers. Notable pieces of furniture are: a Boulle-style writing table in the middle of the room (RCIN 35830) which was formerly in the Picture Gallery in 1904; and a grand piano. Against the far wall is a long case clock by Petit (RCIN 30010); also a firescreen by the door.
