The Van Dyck Room, 1903 dated
-
Photograph of a corner of the Van Dyck Room, now known as the Queen's Ballroom, facing north. The walls are covered with paintings mostly by Anthony van Dyck. There is a variety of seated furniture, some covered with tapestry panels (RCINs 33498, 25293, 2537, 35305 etc) and a boulle desk. The carpet is of an oak trellis with Garter motif design. Apart from some small changes of furniture the room layout is essentially the same as the 1902 photographs (see RCINs 2936805-8).
