Photograph of the White Drawing Room, or Room 197, Windsor Castle, dominated by a large gilt bronze chandelier (probably RCIN 35320) in the centre, a suite of armchairs and settees covered in Vincennes tapestry, a large cabinet decorated with ormolu mounts by Riesener (RCIN 31207); a roll top desk is to the left by the window. On the fireplace mantlepiece and on either side of the cabinet are a set of Thomire candlebra in the shape of females (RCIN 21695.1-4) holding up branches. A portrait of Prince Albert by Winterhalter (RCIN 401412) is on the wall to right; and two Hopper portraits of Princess Mary (right) (RCIN 400167) and Princess Sophia (RCIN 400168 or 401409) are over the glazed doors.
