Photograph of part of Room 219, which was the Sitting Room of Princess Victoria of Wales (1868-1935). This room used to be the School Room and the photographs were probably taken after the room was re-decorated and hung with new wallpaper. Here the photograph shows various pieces of furniture including an upright piano, hexagonal work-table (with basket inside legs), a sofa or writing table with upholstered stretcher (RCIN 20148) (and Sevres bowls and Tournai bottle-cooler pails). The walls are hung with various sketches and paintings.
