China in Princess Victoria's Sitting Room c. 1902
-
Photograph of part of Room 219, which was the Sitting Room of Princess Victoria of Wales (1868-1935). This room used to be the School Room and the photographs were probably taken after the room was re-decorated and hung with new wallpaper. Here the photograph shows the fireplace with mirror above. It has a French stricking clock with allegorical figures (RCIN 30118), and two Sevres bowls, and a pair of electric candelabra. Two portraits are reflected in the mirror.
