Photograph of the six eldest children of Grand Duke Constantine Constantinovich. Princess Tatiana Constantinovna (1890-1979) is sitting in the middle of the group looking left towards Prince John Constantinovich (1886-1918) who is sitting beside her. Prince Gabriel Constantinovich (1887-1955) is sitting beside her to the right and Prince Igor Constantinovich (1894-1918), Prince Constantine Constantinovich (1891-1918) and Prince Oleg Constantinovich (1892-1914) are sitting on the floor in front of them. The older boys are wearing military uniform and the younger boys and Princess Tatiana are wearing sailor suits. There is a painted backdrop of a garden behind. The photograph is dated and annotated with the children's names. Grand Duke Constantine Constantinovich was the second son of Grand Duke Constantine Nikolayevich. He was a patron of the arts and a respected poet. He had eight children who survived into adulthood.
