Photograph of part of the Grand Staircase leading to the Grand Vestibule, with a large glass case displaying a large thick feather fan, and another display case to the far left. Beyond can be seen the new Gothic display cases, installed in 1888, the year after Queen Victoria's Golden Jubilee, which shows some of the thousands of gifts presented to Queen Victoria from all over the world. Above the doorway leading to the Waterloo Chamber are displays of colours or flags and armour. There is also a suit of armour on a niche. On each corner of the balustrade are a matching pair of Gothic 5-light lamps and another candelabra in an alcove further up the room.
