'Charity', a marble statue at Windsor Castle c. 1890 - c. 1900

Photograph of a marble statue of a young child holding up a dish as suppliant. This and another scupture by Rauch was given to Queen Victoria by Friedrich Wilhelm IV, King of Prussia in 1842 and placed in the Private Chapel. A bronze cast was made of the marbles and they were placed outside the Duchess of Kent's Mausoleum at Frogmore.
