Photograph of the Queen's Audience Chamber, with a glimpse of the Verrio painted cove of a trompe-l'oeil balustrade. The room shows two large tapestries The Toilet of Esther and the Triumph of Mordecai (RCIN 35278 and 35279), and a portrait by Honthorst above the door of Henry Frederick, Prince of Orange. In the middle of the room is a circular table, chairs, settees and various important cabinets lining the room. On top of the William Kent chimneypiece (RCIN 79829) is a bronze sculpture of the Venus de Medici (RCIN 10175), flanked by a pair of bluejohn and gilt metal candelabra by Boulton (RCIN 21669) and two small vases. On either sides of the fireplace is a pair of (deep blue) Chinese vases and covers (RCIN 35476).
