Photograph of the Gothic Breakfast Room, now known as the Oak Sitting Room, with heavy Gothic panelling and gilt ceiling. A large Gobelins tapestry, The Hunt (RCIN 64105.2), which was presented to Queen Victoria by King Louis-Philippe, is on the right wall; a large portrait of Queen Victoria by Heinrich von Angeli (RCIN 405021) within Gothic frame over the fireplace, which has a screen in front; in the room various chairs in the Gothic style, a Gothic sideboard and stools. In the centre is a circular table with various Gothic chairs. A second painting, a three-quarters length portrait of a woman can be seen at far right.
