Photograph of the State Dining Room, Room 187 at Windsor Castle, viewed looking towards the windows with curtains drawn. The carpet is in a Gothic rose design which would have been crimson; there is a long rectangular dining table and set of giltwood dining chairs (RCIN 236). At the far end of the room is the Morel and Seddon sideboard said to have been designed by AWN Pugin, unfortunately destroyed in the 1992 fire. In the window is an enormous gold wine cooler and ladle (RCINs 31768-9) under glass, set upon a table designed by AWN Pugin (RCIN 29880). The door in the corner leads to the Octagon Room.
