Half-length photograph of Grand Duke Sergei Alexandrovich. He is standing facing partly to the right. He is wearing military uniform including fringed epaulets, a sash and a row of medals. Below the medals there is a number of Orders of the Russian Empire. The photograph is signed and dated. Grand Duke Sergei Alexandrovich was the fifth son of Alexander II, Emperor of Russia. Between 1891 and 1905 he held the position of Governor General of Moscow. He was assassinated in 1905.
