Photograph of King Edward VII (1841-1910) and Queen Alexandra (1844-1925) at the Opening of Parliament, February 1910, which was to be the king's last Opening of Parliament. Queen Alexandra wrote below the photograph: 'Edward VII Alexandra/1910//our last Opening of Parliament'.
The Queen may be wearing the Cullinan I and II stones on a chain, in addition to the other jewellery. Queen Mary wore these in the following year for King George V's first state opening in Febraury 1911. The stones were presented to King Edward VII in 1908/9. -
