Princess Louise was born at Marlborough House on the 20 February 1867, the eldest daughter of King Edward VII and Queen Alexandra. On the 27 July 1889, she married Alexander William George Duff, the 1st Earl of Fife and they had three children. The Princess was created the Princess Royal in November 1905. She died on the 4 January 1931.
