Prince Francis was born on the 9th January 1870 at Kensington Palace, to Francis Duke of Teck and Princess Mary Adelaide of Cambridge. His sister was Princess Mary of Teck, who became Queen Mary. He pursued a military career and joined the Royal Dragoons. He died of pneumonia at Balmoral Castle in 1910.
