This photograph was taken at the time when she was confirmed at St Mildred's Church, Whippingham on the Isle of Wight. Her husband was Prince Henry of Battenberg whom she wed on the 23rd July 1885 in the same church in Whippingham. The fifth and last daughter born to Queen Victoria, she remained a loyal companion to the Queen and died in Brantridge Park, West Sussex on the 26th October 1944.
