Princess Marie of Hohenzollern-Sigmaringen was born on the 17th November 1845 to Karl Anton, Prince of Sigmaringen and Princess Josephine of Baden. She married Prince Philippe, Count of Flanders (1837-1905) in Berlin on the 25th April 1867 and together they had five children, including Prince Albert.
