Princess Victoria was the daughter of Louis IV of Hesse and his wife, Princess Alice. She was born on the 5th April 1863 at Windsor Castle. She married Prince Louis of Battenberg on the 30th April 1884 at Darmstadt. They had four children, including Princess Louise who became Queen Consort of Sweden through her marriage to King Gustaf VI Adolf of Sweden when Crown Prince, on the 3rd November 1923.
