Photograph of the Grand Duchess of Hesse and by Rhine (1843-1878) when Princess Louis of Hesse standing on the left of a full length portrait. She faces three-quarters right and wears an overcoat into which she has her right hand in the pocket. With her left hand, she holds hands with Queen Alexandra (1844-1925) when Princess Alexandra of Denmark who, facing the viewer, also wears an overcoat with her left hand in the left pocket.
