Photograph from an album of a painting of a head and shoulders length portrait of ?Lord Charles Petty-Fitzmaurice who faces the viewer, wearing the uniform of the 1st King's Dragoon Guards. Epaulettes hang from his right shoulder.
Nairne was the son of the 5th Marquess of Lansdowne and joined the 1st King's Dragoon Guards in 1895. In 1909 until his death during the First World War, Nairne was an Equerry to King George V, when Prince of Wales.
