She is resting her chin on her right hand, whilst her left hand rests in her lap. She is wearing a black silk gown, embellished with jet beading on the bodice and the cuffs, over a white blouse. She is wearing a white cap and veil, a chain on her bodice and rings on the fingers of both hands.
