Description

Cabinet card of a woman wearing a dark dress and holding a hat. The verso is captioned 'Mrs Giltrap'. Harriet Giltrap entered the service of the Princess of Wales (later Queen Alexandra) in 1886 as either a dresser or lady's maid. After Queen Alexandra's death in 1925, Giltrap provided Queen Mary with information about some of the dresses which belonged to the late Queen.
