Photograph of seated figure identified on verso as 'Miss Hill, Miss Knolly's maid'.
Mary Hill served as the maid to Charlotte Knollys (1835-1930). Knollys entered into the Royal Household in 1873 and served as the Woman of the Bedchamber to the Princess of Wales, later Queen Alexandra. Mary Hill retired in 1917. -
