Photograph of staged scene with three women in costume, seated figure is identified on verso as 'Miss Hill, Miss Knolly's maid'.
Mary Hill served as the maid to Charlotte Knollys (1835-1930). Knollys entered into the Royal Household in 1873 and served as the Woman of the Bedchamber to the Princess of Wales, later Queen Alexandra. Mary Hill retired in 1917. -
