Photograph of the Honourable Alexander Yorke: full-length portrait, seated, looking to his right, smartly dressed.

'Alick', as he was affectionately known, entered royal service, first as Equerry to Prince Leopold, and later Groom-in-Waiting to Queen Victoria and to King Edward VII until his death in 1911. This photograph was probably taken at the time of Prince Leopold's tour of the United States of America and Canada in 1880.
