Photograph of the Anichkov Palace in St Petersburg. The building has four storeys and a central pediment with a porch below. To the left there are two stone doorways, each with a pediment and two columns. There is a wrought iron fence between the doorways and two men in front of them. The Anichkov Palace was built for Elizabeth, Empress of Russia in the eighteenth century. It was later the home of Alexander III, Emperor of Russia while he was Tsesarevich.
