They are sitting together with Grand Duke Sergei on the right wearing military uniform. Grand Duke Sergei Alexandrovich was the fifth son of Alexander II, Emperor of Russia. He married Princess Elisabeth of Hesse, a granddaughter of Queen Victoria, at the Winter Palace in St Petersburg in June 1884.
