Princess Victoria Melita of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha was the third child of Alfred, Duke of Edinburgh and Saxe-Coburg and Gotha. She married Ernest Louis, Grand Duke of Hesse in 1894 and was divorced in 1901. She later married Grand Duke Kirill Vladimirovich. She was known to her family as Ducky.
