Photograph of Grand Duke Sergei Alexandrovich (1857-1905) and Princess Elisabeth of Hesse (1864-1918), later Grand Duchess Elizabeth Feodorovna. Grand Duke Sergei is sitting to the right holding a walking stick. Princess Elisabeth is standing beside him to the left, her left arm linked through his right. She is holding an umbrella behind them. The couple married at the Winter Palace in St Petersburg in June 1884.
