Photograph of Alexander III, Emperor of Russia (1845-94), Maria Feodorovna, Empress of Russia (1847-1928), Queen Alexandra (1844-1925) and Grand Duchess Olga Alexandrovna (1882-1960). Alexander III is standing to the left holding a walking stick in his left hand. Maria Feodorovna is standing beside him to the right, her right hand on his shoulder. Queen Alexandra and Grand Duchess Olga are standing to the right, both holding wicker baskets. An open door and part of a garden can be seen behind them. The photograph is annotated 'Peterhof 1894 By Toria'. Maria Feodorovna, Empress of Russia and Queen Alexandra were sisters and always maintained a close relationship. This photograph was taken at the Peterhof Palace just outside St Petersburg by Princess Victoria of Wales, a daughter of Queen Alexandra.
