Grand Duchess Xenia is sitting in front of the hut to the left, her left arm raised to hold her mother's hand. There is a hat on the bench beside her to the left and a painted backdrop behind. Grand Duchess Xenia Alexandrovna was the eldest daughter of Alexander III, Emperor of Russia and his consort Maria Feodorovna, Empress of Russia. She escaped the Russian Revolution and settled in England.
