A page of 14 photographs, mostly taken by Queen Alexandra, of the departure from Algiers for Béjaïa (formerly Bougie) on HMY Victoria and Albert III and some men and officers. The ships could be HMS Suffolk and HMS Aboukir (four funnels) which were the escort ships for the royal yacht. The officers identified by Queen Alexandra are Captain Boissier and Major Tansoube; Admiral Milne and Captain Stameur (sic?). Queen Alexandra wrote a short caption: 'April 20th leave Algiers for Bougie, a lovely place'.
There are two photographs sandwiched between 55 and 56, interior views of an Algerian villa, possibly Mustapha Museum in Algiers.
From a blue leather bound album stamped with 'Vol.1 Mediterranean Cruise, 1905' with Queen Alexandra's cypher on top left corner of the album. -
