Description

Photograph of spectators at the Delhi Durbar of 1877, seated underneath a pavilion. Flags including the Turkish, United States of America, Greece and the United Kingdom, decorate the supports around the edges of the pavilion. Members of the Indian aristocracy can be seen seated within. Soldiers wearing white pith helmets stand outside.
