Description

Photograph of the central dais as used during the 1877 Imperial Assemblage, Delhi, that is decorated in a medieval style with heraldic shields and pennants. On the left are mounted soldiers holding sabres. Encircling the dais is the amphitheatre, the semi-circular audience stand that borders the dais.
