Photograph of a tug boat in the waters of the Bay of Reval. Members of the Royal or Imperial family are sitting at the back of the boat and there are sailors at the front of the boat holding their oars in the air. The side of a large yacht can be seen to the right and there are other boats in the water. In June 1908 King Edward VII and Nicholas II, Emperor of Russia met in the Bay of Reval, now Tallinn. As well as a family gathering the meeting served an important diplomatic purpose in the aftermath of the 1907 Anglo-Russian Entente, which settled colonial disputes and instigated the Triple Entente.
