Photograph showing Queen Victoria's coffin, draped in the Royal standard surmounted by a crown inside the Albert Memorial Chapel, Windsor Castle. Various floral decorations surround the coffin, including a large fern plant in the centre of the photograph. Queen Victoria died at Osborne on 22 January 1901, her funeral was held at Windsor Castle on 2 February and after two days of lying-in-state in the Albert Memorial Chapel, the Queen was interned beside Prince Albert in the Royal Mausoleum, Frogmore.
