Queen Victoria died at Osborne on 22 January 1901, her funeral was held at Windsor Castle on 2 February and after two days of lying-in-state in the Albert Memorial Chapel, the Queen was interned beside Prince Albert in the Royal Mausoleum, Frogmore.
