There is a large group of men arranged in a group in a small garden, with some seated on the floor. There is a row of trees behind them and buildings can be seen in the distance. The coronation of Nicholas II, Emperor of Russia was held at the Kremlin on the 26 May 1896. The celebrations lasted for several weeks and were attended by representatives of Russian society as well as many foreign royals and dignitaries.
