Description

Bust-length photogravure of Saint John of Kronstadt, Archpriest of Saint Andrew's Cathedral in Kronstadt. He is looking to the left and is wearing dark vestments. His jewellery includes a large cross on a chain around his neck and several items of insignia. This is one of a series of photographs of senior Russian Orthodox clergy taken at the time of the coronation of Nicholas II, Emperor of Russia in 1896.
