Photogravure of the representatives of Japan present at the coronation of Nicholas II, Emperor of Russia. There is a large group of men, six seated and the rest standing in a row behind. Prince Fushimi Sadanaru (1858-1923) is sitting third from the left. All are wearing ceremonial military uniform or formal dress. There is a painted wall behind and a patterned carpet on the floor. The coronation of Nicholas II, Emperor of Russia was held at the Kremlin on the 26 May 1896. The celebrations lasted for several weeks and were attended by many foreign royals and dignitaries.
