Standing from left to right are: Major de Labri; Lieutenant Richter; Captain Prince Orloff; Prince Nikolai Nikolaevitch Gagarine (1859-1918); Colonel Zoureff; Major Elie d'Oissel; Major Pauffin de Saint-Morel; Lieutenant Colonel Menettrez; Captain Sadi-Carnot; Captain Jeannerod; Contre Amiral Sallandrouze de Lamornaix; General Comte Koutaissoff; General Le Mouton de Boisdeffre; Mr Mollard and General Tournier. All wear ceremonial military uniform. There are plants to either side and there is a chair in the foreground to the right.
The coronation of Nicholas II, Emperor of Russia was held at the Kremlin on the 26 May 1896. The celebrations lasted for several weeks and were attended by many foreign royals and dignitaries. -
