Photogravure of the representatives of Austria-Hungary present at the coronation of Nicholas II, Emperor of Russia. There is a group of twenty men standing on a low interior staircase. Franz I, Prince of Liechtenstein (1853-1938), the ambassador to the Russian court, is standing at the front of the group holding a feathered hat in his left hand. They are wearing a wide variety of ceremonial clothes including military uniform and traditional costume. There are painted panels on the wall behind them and a window to the right. The coronation of Nicholas II, Emperor of Russia was held at the Kremlin on the 26 May 1896. The celebrations lasted for several weeks and were attended by many foreign royals and dignitaries.
