A photograph of Edward, Prince of Wales, later King Edward VII, and Nasir al-Din Shah Qajar, Shah of Persia in an open top carriage outside Buckingham Palace, with the Persian Prime Minister Mirza Hosein Khan Moshir ad-Dowleh Sepahsalar. Three postillions are standing at the back of the carriage, and the coachman in front, all in full livery.
This photograph was taken when the Shah visited Queen Victoria in 1873, the first Persian ruler to ever visit Britain. -
