Carte-de-visite portrait of James McGregor, a member of the Royal Household. It is a three-quarter length portrait, seated on chair at an angle to the camera, looking slightly to the left of the camera.
According to the 1871 Census Report for 1871, he was living at St George's Gateway, Windsor Castle, with his wife; aged 44, from Perth in Scotland. A handwritten inscription on the carte says that he died on 11th March 1876. -
