Prince Christian married Helena on 5 July 1866 in the Private Chapel at Windsor Castle, As a younger son of a minor prince, he did not have any significant foreign commitments and was able to live in England. They lived at Cumberland Lodge for many years, during which time Prince Christian was Ranger of Winsor Great Park. Despite the 15 year-age gap, the couple were happy together. -
