The subjects' parents were Prince Albert of Prussia and Princess Marie of Saxe-Altenburg. In 1919 Joachim Albrecht married Marie Blich-Sulzer, although this marriage was never recognised by his family. In 1920 he married Karoline Kornelia Stockhammer but this marriage ended in divorce. Joachim had no children. Friedrich Heinrich Albrecht never married.
