Her hair is elaborately arranged in a chignon on the top of her head and she gazes downwards. She is wearing a white blouse, tied with a prominent bow under her chin, a mid-coloured garment and a multiple strand pearl necklace.
Mathilde was the fourth daughter of Duke Maximilian and Princess Ludovika of Bavaria. In 1861, she married Count Lodovico of Trani and the couple had a single daughter.Provenance
