His hair is arranged in a left side parting and he has a mutton chop beard. He is wearing military uniform, adorned with a medal.
Archduke Wilhelm was the son of Archduke Charles, Duke of Teschen and Princess Henrietta of Nassau-Weilburg.
He remained unmarried and without children. He died after falling from a horse whilst riding in Baden. The horse bolted and the Archduke was thrown off. One of his feet lodged in one of the stirrups, and he was dragged more than a hundred yards. He died without regaining consciousness.Provenance
