Carte-de-visite depicting a full-length double portrait of Louise, Queen of Sweden (1828-71) and her daughter Princess Louise of Sweden (1851-1926), later the Queen of Denmark. The Queen is seated on the left of the photograph, facing three-quarters right. She wears a light coloured headdress. Princess Louise sits at a table and faces the viewer. She holds an open book in her left hand and rests her right elbow on the table. Her head rests on her right hand. There are other books placed on the table.
