Carte-de-visite depicting a group portrait of four of Queen Victoria's children. Albert Edward, Prince of Wales (1841-1910) is seated in the middle of the photograph, facing three-quarters left. He is wearing Scottish Highland dress, including a kilt and a sporran. His right hand is resting on his right leg, whilst in his left hand he holds a walking stick, the bottom of which rests on his right foot. Princess Louise (1848-1939) is standing and faces three-quarters right. Her left hand is resting on the right shoulder of the Prince of Wales. Prince Leopold (1853-84) is standing on the right of the photograph with his left leg crossed over his right, facing the viewer. He is wearing Scottish Highland dress. His right arm is resting on the back of the Prince of Wales' chair whilst his left hand rests on a walking stick in front of him. Prince Arthur (1850-1942) is sitting on the floor with his arms folded and his legs crossed, facing the viewer. He is also wearing Scottish Highland dress.
